A new calibrator/simulator linearised for 10 different thermocouples and providing calibration to both ipts68 and its90 standards is now available from cropico, uk. Highly accurate, the new dp6 unit features 1 mv resolution and given degrees, c, f, k or millivolt scales to both measure and simulate thermocouple outputs. Variable ramping rates are included to give additional flexibility, in addition to cold junction compensation. Three operating modes can be selected for cold junction compensation: fully automatic using an internal sensor, manual entry through the keyboard or it can be switched off to provide the equivalent of 0°c. Extremely easy to use, the dp6 has a memory function capable of storing up to 130 configurations, enabling often used settings to be recalled easily and quickly. Temperature values are displayed on a clear, easily read 4.5-digit lcd with instrument status shown on a two-line alphanumeric lcd. The text can also be displayed in a choice of five different languages, these are english, german and french. Other feature include. Digital calibration, security calibration code with counter and rs232 interface. The unit is totally portable, housed in a compact, rugged case and has a splash-proof membrane keypad.
